Motorized screens that stand up to North Texas wind
Spring storms, straight-line gusts and blowing dust are hard on ordinary zipper screens. We install MagnaTrack and SunPro systems engineered to hold their track, shed debris and keep your patio usable when the wind picks up.

Why wind wrecks ordinary screens
Most retractable screens pinch the fabric into a zipper track. A hard gust puts all of that force on the zipper — the fabric tears out, the track bends, and the screen won't roll back up.
Fabric tears out of the track
Zipper edges are the weak point once the screen starts to billow.
Tracks warp and bind
A bent side rail means a screen that jams halfway and a service call.
Bottom bars swing free
Light bars deflect in gusts, slapping posts and letting rain blow under.
Debris hits the patio
Limbs, dust and hail get driven into furniture, grills and outdoor kitchens.
The screens we trust
when the forecast turns
Both are custom-built to your openings, motorized, and installed by our own crew after laser measurement. We'll recommend one based on your exposure, span and how you use the space.

Magnetic track that lets go — then snaps back
Rare-earth neodymium magnets hold the screen edge instead of a zipper. If a gust or impact overloads the screen, it releases from the track instead of tearing, and re-seats itself the next time it cycles.
- Defender Hurricane Screen — Category 5 rated, Kevlar®-like fabric tested above 156 mph

Your screens react
before you do
Add an environmental sensor and the system watches conditions for you — adjusting screens when wind or sun crosses the levels you set, even when nobody is home.
Tough enough for the wind,
matched to your home
Every wind-ready screen is finished in our motorized metal frame colors and SunTex 95 fabric — the same options available across our screens and enclosures.

High-wind questions
Should I lower or raise my screens in a storm?
It depends on the system and fabric. Standard solar and insect screens are usually best raised in severe weather, while hurricane-rated screens like the MagnaTrack Defender are designed to be lowered for protection. We'll set up sensor thresholds and walk you through the right approach at install.
What happens if a gust hits a MagnaTrack screen too hard?
The magnetic edge releases from the track instead of tearing the fabric or bending the rail. The next time you raise and lower the screen, it re-seats itself automatically.
Can one screen cover a wide opening in a windy spot?
Yes. Both systems handle large single spans, and our team will confirm the right size and bottom bar for your exposure during the site visit.
Do wind screens still let air through?
Yes. The mesh cuts the force of wind and sun while still allowing airflow and outward visibility, so the patio stays comfortable.
